York Rite of Freemasonry
The York Rite of Freemasonry is made up of 3 seperate bodies: The Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, the Council of Royal & Select Masters and the Commandery of Knights Templar. The York Rite is often referred to as the "College Education" of a Freemason because it answers many questions that Master Masons both young and old may have regarding the history of the fraternity. Click here to watch a very informative video on the York Rite and it's history, produced by the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar in Indiana.
Membership in the York Rite is open to Master Masons in good standing with their local lodge. One who's interested in joining the Richmond York Rite bodies should ask any Companion or Sir Knight for a petition.
All three bodies meet at the Richmond Masonic Temple on the 1st Tuesday of every month. Meetings begin promptly at 7:30 PM. In case of inclement weather, a makeup meeting will be held on the 3rd Tuesday. All Companions and Sir Knights are welcome at our meetings.
Richmond Lodge #25 is very proud to have Sir Knight Donald H. Smith as a member and Past Master. Bro. Smith is a Most Eminent Past Grand Master of Knights Templar of the United States.
